Health & Safety - Putting Safety First

The COMPANY recognises and is committed to its duty to comply with all health and safety legislation, the duties placed upon it to protect employees and others and the duties of both employees and the employer in pursuance of compliance with Health and Safety legislation.

1) In order to enable these statutory duties are carried out and pursue continual improvement in Health and Safety. It is the policy of this company to so far as reasonably practicable:-
Provide suitable and sufficient risk assessments and review these as necessary.
Provide and maintain plant and systems of work that are safe and without risk to health.
Establish arrangements for the safe handling, storage, transport, use and disposal of articles and substances.
Provide such instruction, training and supervision as is necessary to secure health and safety of employees and others.
Carry out health surveillance where required.
Maintain places of work in a condition that is safe and without risks to health and provide safe means of access and egress to and from places of work.
Ensure that the working environment of all employees is safe and without risks to Health and Safety.
Make adequate and suitable arrangements for welfare at work.
Ensure that all plant, tools and machinery is maintained safely and is in a safe condition.
Monitor safety performance to maintain agreed standards, so as to safeguard the health, safety and welfare of all employees
and others who may be affected by operations under the company's control.

2) Further, it shall be the duty of ALL EMPLOYEES:-
To take reasonable steps to ensure the health and safety of themselves and others
who may be affected by their acts or omissions at work.
To cooperate with the company in pursuance of its statutory duties.
Not to misuse or interfere with any safety equipment provided by the company.

To Ensure that policy is effective, the company will:-
Review the policy annually or when there are significant changes to business.
Make such changes know to all employees.
Maintain procedures for communication and consultation between all levels of staff on matters of health, safety and welfare.
